Journeyman Lineman (Transmission & Distribution)
Full-time crew work on transmission and distribution lines across our 11-state footprint. A mix of planned projects, hardening campaigns, and storm response under utility mutual-aid agreements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do.
- Build and maintain overhead and underground distribution lines from 12 kV to 34.5 kV.
- Climb wood, steel, and composite poles. Work from bucket trucks. Operate digger trucks.
- Work on energized and de-energized lines during planned outages.
- Respond to storm activations under the regional mutual-aid programs.
- Daily safety meetings and tailboard reviews before starting work.
REQUIREMENTS
What you bring.
- Journeyman lineman status (state certification or completed apprenticeship).
- OSHA 10 minimum, OSHA 30 preferred.
- 5 or more years of transmission or distribution experience.
- CDL Class A required for operating crew trucks.
- Willing to travel for storm response on 12-hour notice.
NICE TO HAVE
Bonus.
- Live-line or hot-line certification.
- Bare-hand training on extra-high-voltage work.
- Past storm response or mutual-aid experience.
