Storm Logistics Lead

Own the storm logistics function out of our Atlanta yard. Materials staging, base camp setup, mutual-aid coordination, and keeping us ready for 12-hour mobilization across the Southeast.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What you'll do.

  • Maintain the pre-staged storm inventory: poles, transformers, wire, hardware, and supplies.
  • Coordinate base camp setup — fuel, lodging, meals, tool maintenance — during activations.
  • Manage relationships with the three regional mutual-aid groups from the Atlanta yard.
  • Build the 12-hour mobilization checklist into a repeatable playbook.
  • Train yard staff on storm activation protocols outside of storm season.
REQUIREMENTS

What you bring.

  • 5 or more years in operations or logistics — utility construction, emergency response, or military logistics.
  • Past mutual-aid or FEMA Public Assistance program experience.
  • Strong project management. Comfortable running 14-day or longer deployments.
  • CDL Class A is a plus for supervising convoys.
  • Available for activations on 12-hour notice during storm season.
NICE TO HAVE

Bonus.

  • Military logistics background (Army Transportation Corps, Marine Combat Engineer, Air Force LRS).
  • FEMA incident command certifications.
  • Past lineman or substation construction experience.
BENEFITS

What we offer.

  • Full medical, dental, and vision (100% paid for the employee).
  • 401(k) with 5% match.
  • Two weeks of paid time off plus 10 paid holidays.
  • Take-home truck so you are ready when the call comes.
  • On-call bonus during storm season.
